This week’s topic over at Illustration Friday is Lonely, and what creature is lonelier than the elusive Yeti. There aren’t many Yeti, in fact I’m not even sure if that’s the plural for a Yeti because mostly people just want to see one.

For a while I didn’t know if I would participate this week because lonely is such a sad word. After some thought I realized that the loneliest creatures in the world must be Cryptids. I’ve already done a Sasquatch and wanted to do something new. I decided that Big Foot’s cousin the Abominable Snowman was the way to go.

I figured having him hanging out all by himself at home on a Saturday night while eating takeout and watching TV would be significant enough to translate the feeling of loneliness. I also loved the idea of some delivery guy knowing exactly where to find the elusive Yeti.
