The Hulk

Hulk

Okay, so I’m a bit behind on jumping aboard the whole Avengers bandwagon, but it really was a fun movie so I’m going to jump aboard now. It also gives me an excuse to spend more time looking up pictures of the Avengers team. To start things off I decided to go with the Hulk.

I was a big fan of The Incredible Hulk with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno when I was a kid, even though I didn’t see any of the recent films. I wanted to bring a little of that 70’s Lou Ferrigno body builder feel when illustrating the Hulk. I also wanted to keep him looking as much like Mark Ruffalo’s Banner as possible. Even though the Avengers Hulk has been getting loads of praise for actually using the actor to create their CG monster he still looks a little off to me. I think it’s mostly because of his hair. For some reason whenever you see the Hulk he always gets a completely new haircut when he transforms. I find as strange as the fact that he wears magical size expanding pants.
